 Today i learned about keywords, here is my work.

Example: Sentence: One minute Lou was holding it, the next minute there was a crash and lemonade was all over the floor.  Question: What happened? Answer: Lou had dropped a container of lemonade (CUP, GLASS, ETC) KEYWORDS: holding it - tells you that he had something in his hand                        Crash - tells you something fell

1 . Baby James spat mashed vegetables straight back at his father.

What is his father doing? Feeding the baby

2. The only noise in the room was the rustle of paper whenever Tom turned a page.

What was Tom doing? Reading a book

3. The kites flew high in the sky, dipping down and rising again.

What sort of day was it? windy, and sunny.

4. It was the smell of burning bacon which finally drew his attention back to what he should be                            doing.

What should he have been doing? He was cooking.

5. He rested on the long handle of the axe and looked at the deep cut in the tree.

What had he been doing? He was cutting the tree.

6. She stood up dripping with water and reached for a towel.

What had she been doing? She was showering.

7. It fell through the night unseen and unheard and by morning the ground was white.

What fell through the night? Lots of snow

8. When he opened the envelope he was pleased to see that Elly had remembered his birthday.

What was in the envelope? A birthday card

Example: Sentence: The cat stared down at us through the leaves and branches. Question: Where was the cat? Answer: Up in a tree.

Where is this happening? 

At school.

2. Is this a weed, Dad? Do I pull it out?

Where are they? In the garden.

3. The children took turns on the swings and slides.

Where were the children? 

In the playground.

4. The clothes flapped in the breeze..

Where were the clothes? 

Hanging outside.

5. The train stopped and the people got off.

Where was the train?

 At the train station.

6. Emma could see at least twenty large passenger jets from all over the world.

Where was Emma? 

In the airport

7. The tiger looked out through the bars.

Where was the tiger? In the zoo.

8. Debbie pushed the button and waited for the lights to change.

Where was Debbie? 

Crossing at the traffic lights.

Colour Wheel

                                                        LI: To mix 2 colour to make another.

                             Today we learned about primary and secondary colours Mrs Anderson was helping us                                                                             and that was lots of fun.

My favorite colour to mix was purple.
